BANDITS ABDUCT OVER (50) IN KATSINA, KILLS (6) OTHERS.

Some suspected armed bandits invaded villages in Funtua local government area of Zamfara State and killed over (50) people.

Those abducted during the attack incudes women, children and aged individuals.

The bandits also killedPAYE(6) other people in a separate attack launched against people of Dandume community again in Katsina state.

According to the source, the bandits entered these villages since Saturday noon and continue with their operations up to Sunday the following day.

Malam Yau Chibauna is one of the residents of Yankin Gara village one of the towns attacked by the bandits he informed newsmen that the bandits launched their deadly operations around 10:00pm on Saturday and their operations at the village resulted into the abduction of over (50) people.

The source also explained that the bandits have killed to more people at Layin Garaa at Funtua local government and killed another sets of four people at Garin Maikwama in Dan-dume local government area of same Katsina state.

The Village head of Layin Mai Garaa Mustapha Abdullahi confirmed the incident and explained that, while people are battling with hunger and shortage of food and hunger, the bandits stormed the community and caused serious security challenges.

He lamented that the government is not doing much to protect the people of Layin Garaa community since despite request for the government to deploy enough soldiers to the community, the situation persists.

The security challenges faced by the people of Layin Garaa community has influenced people to move out of the place for alternative, safer places.

Katsina state police command says it is investigating the development and refuse to make any remark regarding the matter.
