Suspected bandits armed with deadly weapons invaded Kwaren Tsaune, Kadamutsawa, Gidan Daji and Tambake all under Kwatarkwashi Emirate in Zamfara state and killed innocent persons.
The attacked was carried out at the early hours of Tuesday (Sallah Eve) while the majority of the people had retired to their beds.
A source reliably informed this medium that, over ten people were brutally killed during the attack by the bandits.
The communities listed above have been under constant threat by the bandits for sometimes now, even as effort has been made by them to sustain the security of their lives and properties through organised security policing.
The federal lawmaker representing Maru/Bungudu Abdulmalik Zubairu (Zannan Bungudu) had paid a condolence visit to the people of the affected areas on Wednesday (Sallah Day).
While commiserating with them over the tragedy, he assured them of his commitment to ensuring that options have been secured to ensure the safety of everyone in Zamfara state.
While praying for God almighty to grant the decease Jannatul Firdausi he donated some relief materials and food stuffs to the families of the decease during the visit.
