I believed the essence of representation is to give people that voted for you an artificial sense of belonging. This sense of belonging, in my candid opinion, is not about material donations but tight associations with the grass-root at all time.

I had been keenly observing these sets of parliaments that we just voted, and I believed the member federal House of Representatives for Maru/Bungudu deserves to be applauded on the neutral ground of objectivity and fairness.

I was exclusively interested in the recent condolence/sympathy visits he paid to the people of Kwaren Tsaune, Kadamutsawa, Gidan Daji and Tambake all under Kwatarkwashi Emirate over the deadly armed bandit attacks.

He drove via motorcycles just the way politicians used to do when they are campaigning and on the sallah day to pay to his people condolence visits and sympathize with them during their trying moments.

I did not bother to inquire how much he donated to them in cash or the quantity of the food stuffs he brought to them as the tradition provided, but I was more impress with his accolade and show of love to his people.

Dressed in his usual first aided group attire, Zannan Bungudu was very accommodating of the locals during the visit and also stayed with them for sometimes to show his concern about the tragedy.

Inquiring deep into his humanitarian gesture, I was reliably informed that, the federal lawmaker has procured and donated over (400) bulls or rams and over (100) cows for his people to celebrate their Id-el Kabir.

This gesture is a monumental one; hence it will speak volume about the human nature of some Nigerian lawmakers hence some after being voted for they move away with their families to Abuja and they will never turn back to look after their people until after four years.

Before now, during the 2023 campaign and after the election, I was reliably informed that the lawmaker Zannan Bungudu has constructed and renovated ten blocks of classrooms and renovated many schools, both conventional and Islamic ones.

He had also renovated six Jumu’at prayer mosques, three within Bungudu and three outside Bungudu and this gesture was sustained; hence he is still conducting renovation of schools and prayer mosques across his constituency.

He has just opened one of the most befitting constituency office one of its prototypes belonging to the federal lawmaker in the history of this state and I believe the steps he is taking toward modeling legislative representations for Zamfara state is a good one.

It is the hope of this media outfits and indeed the good people of his constituency that during his four year term he should give emphasis on sponsoring sensitive bills and motions that are geared toward uplifting the living standard of his people by way of securing budgetary opportunities for infrastructural and human development of his people.
