Some suspected kidnappers had abducted a permanent commissioner at Zamfara State Independent National Electoral Commission, ZASIEC Sanusi Wanzamai at the late evening of Monday.
He was kidnapped according to a source while returning from his hometown Wanzamai where he went for a condolence visit.
The source said, the kidnappers picked the permanent commissioner and his younger brother along Gidan Giye some distance of kilometers in between Tsafe and Gusau.
The source added that, he was kidnapped while trying to fix his vehicle that developed some fault at exactly Gidan Giye at a time when the kidnappers were crossing the main Tsafe-Gusau highway heading toward their camp.
