Members of Committee for African Quranic memorization competition have paid a courtesy visit to Zamfara Commissioner for Local Government Affairs.
The committee led by its Chairman Mal. Nura Alkali Mafara said the purpose of the visit was to intimate the Commissioner on the forthcoming African Qur’anic Competition in the State and to solicit his support and advice.
He thanked the Commissioner for the warm reception and also acknowledged his valuable contributions toward the development of Islam and humanity in general.
In a remark, the commissioner commended the effort of the committee and assured them of his readiness to continue to support to the development of islamic activities.
According to him no responsible Muslim will distance himself from any initiative that has to do with the holy Qur’an being the main source of guidance and inspiration.
Alhaji Abubakar Dambo who said he is proud to associate himself with the Committee, thanked members for the visit and pledged to extend any support necessary for the overall success of its activities.
