Leadership of Zamfara circle has commences the distribution of emergency relief materials to over 2,940 beneficiaries across the fourteen local government areas of the state.
The Secretary of the Circle Mr. Ibrahim Marafa stated this in a statement issued to newsmen in Gusau the state capital.
Marafa said, according to the arrangement, each local government is collating data from various IDP locations that are accessible and report back to the state.
A register will also be provided to each local government where households would be registered, and a card would be given to them which would qualify them for the intervention.
On the criteria for the selection of the beneficiaries the circle said an IDP must be a household preferably those who are recently displaced.
Those who are women should be a mother with her children, and according to circle the children must be preferably those who losess their father by the activities of armed bandits.
As for men according to the circle, the beneficiary shall be aged person with dependents including wife and children.
(100) beneficiaries are selected from Anka, Bakura, Bukkuyum and Birnin Magaji, Gummi, and Talatar Mafara while (260) are selected from Bungudu local government.

According to the breakdown of the cash donation received the circle said a total of (N13,626,759.80) were received in its account domiciled at Polaris Bank while the sum of (N626,372,.60) have been received in its account domiciled at Zenith Bank.
The circle confirmed that it had received a total of (N14,253,132.40) as cash donation.
