One of the APC stakeholders in Zamfara state and former gubernatorial aspirant in the 2019 general elections Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare has mourned the demise of his friend and political associate Sagir Hamida Gusau who was killed by some suspected gunmen along Kaduna-Abuja expressway on Sunday.
Dr. Dauda who described Sagir Hamida as a true political associate explained that his exit at this very critical moment of political struggle in Zamfara would leave a vacuum difficult to be filled.
He recalled how he and late Sarkin Rafin Gusau used to share ideas and thoughts despite their gubernatorial ambitions in 2019 and also their joint struggle to making sure that political unity which is to be accepted by all has been entrusted in Zamfara politics.
He described his killing as purely inhuman, calling the authorities to rise to the occasion and beef up security along major highways with a view to safeguarding the lives of innocent Nigerians
He used the opportunity to condole the family of the deceased and urged them to take heart and consider his demise as something that would continue to linger in the memory of progressive minds in the state.
He prayed for God almighty to grant the deceased Jannatul Firdausi
