It was a moment of greatness as thousands of political supporters, friends, and well-wishers gathered at the popular Command Guest-in Gusau to celebrate yet another historic event of distributing admission letters to (120) children of the poor who are to be sponsored by Dr. Dauda Lawal for another step of their academic excellence.
They are to proceed to a University Togo to advance their academic carriers in sciences, computer engineering, medicine public health and other social sciences related courses.
The decision to sponsor these categories of less privileged children is to try to strike a balance between them and children of the wealthy people and also to probe to them that their lives matters people of great mind-set like Dauda Lawal.
The gesture was made under his foundation “Dauda Lawal Dare Foundation”.
As early as 10:00am, the (500) capacity hall was filled as thousands of other relations and well-wishers could not make it to the inner hall due to non-availability of space.
In an address of welcome, the Campaign Director of Dauda Lawal Eng. Garba Ahmad Yandi expressed joy with the massive turn out of the people, noting that the imagery of the event is a clear testimony of how firmed people are ready to effect the needed political change in Zamfara state.
He said his principal with the coordination of the former Governor Abdulazeez Yari is battle ready to inject array of hope back to the mind-set of Zamfara people through coming up with innovations that would ensure transformation of the lives of the common people.
He assured that the scholarship initiative by Dauda Lawal Dare will be unique since the philanthropist has already mapped out plans to ensure that all the needed bursaries and entitlements are paid to both the university management and the students (100%).

He also explained that, for over ten years, Dr. Dauda has been actively supporting children of the poor with bursaries and allowances just to make sure that their education has not suffered.
“For the past ten years, Dauda has been supporting (200) students to study at Zamfara State College of Education (ZACAS)”.
Governor Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar represented by the party Chairman Lawal M. Liman expressed joy and happiness with the level of scholarly intervention by Dr. Dauda Lawal saying such initiative is aimed at boosting the morale of the children of the poor to believe that “if there is life there is hope”.
He declared that education in Zamfara has been in a serious shamble and unless if not with effort like that of Gamjin Gusau things might have gone out of hand.
Various APC stakeholders including former State Chairman of the defunct APP, Alh Ibrahim Nabature Nahuche, former majority leader of Zamfara state house of assembly Mal. Mani Malam Mumuni, and former Commissioner for local government and Chieftaincy Affairs Alh Ishaka Muhammad Zurmi among others spoke extensively about Dr. Dauda Lawal Dare and his philantrophic gesture.
Away from the venue of the event, the state party chairman perfected the inauguration of five hand pump boreholes constructed at the various locations in Gusau the state capital.
