Governor Bello Matawalle has approved the appointment of Dahiru Samaila Mafara and Aminu Ibrahim Bagobiri as Director General in their respective individual capacities.
Their letters of appointment were issued to them by the former Governor of Zamfara Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar in Mafara over the weekend.
Mafara served as Director General New Media under the administration of former Governor Yari.
He is currently a senior reporter/editor with the state-owned news media outlet “The Legacy”.
Aminu Ibrahim, on the other hand, served as the Director of Press Affairs under the former Governor of Zamfara Abdulaziz Yari, and he is currently working with the State-owned radio and television services.
Also while Dahiru Samaila Mafara served as the Treasurer of the Zamfara State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Aminu Ibrahim served as the Chairman of RATTAWU Zamfara radio chapel.
They are yet to be assigned their respective portfolios.
