On the spate of security incidences recorded in some parts of Zurmi and Shinkafi Dosara said, “Zamfara state government is not saying that the security challenges faced by the state has been addressed, but things are really falling apart on the site of the bandit’s; hence reports have indicated that the bandits are fleeing in their large number from Zurmi and part of Shinkafi to Kaura Namoda searching for a base for criminal asylum”.
On the allegation by the BBC Hausa service that, over forty people have been abducted along Zurmi and part of Shinkafi in recent time, Dosara said “the number of those kidnapped along Zurmi and part of Shinkafi stands at ninety (90) not forty (40) as alleged by the BBC”.
On how the Commissioner will justify that there is improvement in the security situation of Zamfara when ninety persons have been abducted, Dosara replied, “despite the number of those kidnapped can you compare the security situation in Zamfara then and now?”.
