The Special Adviser to Zamfara State Governor on the Directorate of Land and Survey, Idris Muhammad Keta has revealed that Zamfara State Governor has given approval to secure land for the construction of (1,000) houses as part of the expansion plan of Gusau the capital city of Zamfara State.

Mr. Keta who stated this during a ceremony for the handing over of allocation of land for the construction of shops within Gusau on Friday said, the initiative is one out of many developed by Governor Matawalle to help in the city expansion plans under the Gusau Master Plan.

He noted that the idea of allocating land for housing construction was to allow for development of more housing infrastructures to accommodate the growing population in the capital city.

He stated that, according to the data available to the government, over (50,000) people migrated to Gusau every year for different purposes without the corresponding increase in the number of housing facilities to accommodate the growing increase.
