A former APGA National Secretary Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi has charged the three state Governors of Zamfara, Kaduna and Kogi to re-approached the Apex Court for charge of contempt if the Federal Government refuses to comply with the judgement delivered on the continuous use of old naira notes by the Supreme Court judges on Friday.
Sani Shinkafi who stated this during a press conference on Friday, insisted that, the judgement of the Supreme Court against the Federal Government has come to stay; hence it was a unanimous one.
He said the President, the Attorney General and indeed the CBN Governor must show respect to the decision of the Apex court if they want the progress and unity of the country.
Wambai also stated that if the actors refused to act as ordered in the judgement, the Governors should re-approached the apex court again.
“They have powers to apply for enforcement of form (48) contempt of court charge and form (49) committal to prison so that all the actors who choose to disregard the decision of the Apex Court can be taken to prison outrightly.
He accused the CBN Governor Mr. Emiefele of advising the President wrongly; hence the policy ended in bringing serious hardship on the people.
He urged the President and all stakeholders affected by the Supreme Court decision to respect it in the overall interest of the unity and progress of Nigeria.
