Governor Bello Matawalle has congratulated Nigerian people Muslim Ummah for the return of another Ramadan.
In a statement by the Director General Press Affairs to the Governor Malam Yusuf Idris said, the governor wishes all Muslims a successful worship and urged them to commit much of their time to praying for God almighty for the return of peace.
Matawalle also urged Muslims to sustain the teachings of the Holy month through Taqwa and giving sadaqa to the needy and the less privileged.
He further urged people to use the Ramadan period to repent from all bad acts and other social vices by following the teachings of the noble Prophet Muhammad SAW.
He also called on the Muslims to pray for an end to terrorism, armed banditry, kidnapping, cattle rustling and other crimes bedeviling the state in particular and the nation in general so that the government can continue to dividends of democracy to the people.
He appealed to business entrepreneurs especially those involved in selling essential commodities to cut down prices throughout the month to earn Allah’s rewards.
