RAMADAN WELFARE PACKAGE: ZAMFARA GOVERNOR DISTRIBUTES 180,000 BAGS OF ASSORTED FOOD ITEMS, PREPARES PACKAGE FOR STATE CIVIL SERVANTS

Zamfara State Governor Bello Matawalle has flags off the distribution of 180,000 assorted bags of food items to needy and less privilege person for this year’s Ramadan

The number of food items include 60,000 bags of rice, 30,000 bags of sugar, 50,000 bags of millet, 30,000 bags of maize, 10,000 bags of beans and 2000 cartons of milk.

In a speech by the Governor a copy which was issued to this medium said, 40,000 pieces of veritable wax and clothing materials have been purchased for distribution to the less privilege persons in order for them to celebrate their ideal fitr with relative ease.

The Governor had further explained that, Ramadan feeding would be conducted across all the 2,516 polling units of the State.

He further said he has directed the State Ministry for Local Government and Community Development to collaborate with the 14 Local Government Councils to establish additional feeding centers in each of the local government councils.

He also said he has directed the office of the Head of Service to prepare a comprehensive Ramadan package for the state civil servants in order to encourage and boost their morale.

He called on the well to do individuals to continue to compliment the effort of the government by offering help and assistance to the needy and less privilege during this sacred month of Ramadan.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
