RAMADAN WELFARE PACKAGE: FORMER ZAMFARA GOVERNOR YARI DISTRIBUTES 130 TRUCKS OF ASSORTED FOOD ITEMS

Former Governor of Zamfara Abdulazeez Yari Abubakar has donated a total of 130 trucks ot assorted food stuffs to thousands of party supporters as Ramadan welfare package. 

According to the statistics by the party office said the food stuffs to be distributed would cost the state worth N1. 4 billion naira. 

He said, the assorted food items include 54 trucks of of rice, 32 trucks of sugar, 22 trucks of maize and 22 trucks of millet.

According to the breakdown by the Chairman of the distribution committee Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa, Gusau the capital city of Zamfara would received a total of 400 bags of rice, 1,200 bags of sugar, 600 bags of maize and 600 bags of millet.

Each of the remaining 13 local government council areas would received  1200 bags of rice, 600 bags of sugar, 300 bags of maize and 300 bags of millet.

The items include 54 trucks of 50kg bags of rice, 32 trucks of 50kg bags of sugar, 22 trucks of maize and 22 trucks of millet.

Represented by Senator Kabiru Garba Marafa Yari said, the gesture is to enable Muslims perform their Ramadan fast with relative ease. 

” Former governor Yari decided to disburse these food items to assist the needy to perform this year’s Ramadan at ease in line with our party’s quest to enhance the standard of living of our people,” Senator Marafa added.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
