Suspected gunmen fired a deadly gun-shot at one Mal. Manir Alaramma when they launched an attack on his private resident in Gusau the Zamfara State capital on Wednesday.
A family source said the gunmen invaded his house located at the back of Karma Hotel and attempted to abduct him and his family members in the night hours of Tuesday.
As a result of resistance, according to the source, the gunmen fired a deadly shot at him and later kidnapped his wife and a daughter.
While he is receiving treatment as a result of the injury he sustained from the gunshot, the whereabouts of his abducted family members is not yet known.
The spokesperson of Zamfara police command could not be reached for comment as at the time of filing this report.
