A chieftain of APC in Zamfara Sani Abdullahi Wamban Shinkafi has declared that he was bribed with huge amount of dollars by compelling politicians and even those in the presidency to surrenders APGA certificate of registration for the APC merger in 2013.
Wambai who raised the allegations during an exclusive interview with thunder blowers in Gusau on Thursday said, there was no amount of money that was not offered to him by compelling persons to drag APGA to the APC merger in 2013 but declined because of his “political ideologies”.
“They brought hard currencies in bulk to my house and offered me any position in the APC if I can surrender the certificate of my party (APGA) but I refused because money or appointment means nothing to me.
He described as untrue the outburst by the former Governor Yari that he was part of the makers of the APC In 2013 noting that there is no where Abdulazeez Yari signed any document leading to the merger of APC, but instead he maintained that it was Malam Ibrahim Shekarau that signed the merger document on behalf of the ANPP the former party of Governor Yari.
He assured that he and Governor Bello Matawalle would remain in APC since the constitution of the party does not differentiate between those that came to APC today and those that joined the party ten years after it was formed.
