Zamfara State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice Barr. Nura Ibrahim Zarumi has declared that the state government does not want to joint issues with the members of the Judiciary Staff Union (JUSUN) since the issue of enforcement of the executive order No (10) which they have been clamoring for has been challenged by the 36 state Governors and FCT at the Supreme Court.
Zarumi who stated this in an interview with the Managing Editor of this medium said whatever decision the Supreme Court takes regarding the issue it is absolutely binding on the state government.
“Discussing the matter now is prejudice since it is before the apex court and I cannot say anything for now, it is better we allow the Supreme Court to decide”.
Regarding the issues of judges going to courts via commercial motorcycles and vehicles as alleged by the JUSUN officials in Zamfara, the Attorney General said, the office of the Secretary to the State Government Cabinet Affairs should be contacted for comment.
