The former Chairman of the Nigerian Barr Association Zamfara State Branch Barr. Bello Idris Galadi has disagreed with the position of Zamfara State Attorney General Barr. Nura Ibrahim Zarumi that the state cannot take decision to end the strike action because the matter is before the Supreme Court for determination.
Barr. Galadi who stated his disagreement when he featured in thunder Blowers TV show DA-WACHE-KAZO on Wednesday said, if everybody would have to wait for the Supreme Court to decide the appeal when? Since according to him the courts in Nigeria including the Supreme Court is under lock and key.
He said the best thing to do is for the government and JUSUN to shift ground in the interest of getting the gray areas resolved.
Galadi explained that for JUSUN they can reconsider the grounds of reconciliation with the governments, go back to court to seek for enforcement of the court judgment or invite a team of lawyers to advice them.
As for the government he insisted that it should try as much as possible to meet up with their own part of the agreement with members of JUSUN.
On the alleged non-compliance with the judgment of Justice Ademola Adeniyi delivered in 2014 as well as Executive Order No (10) signed by President Muhammad Buhari, Galadi said, for him the President does not require to sign any executive order since section 83(1) and section 121(3) of the 1999 constitution as amended are very clear on the issue.
He said the level of crises in the judicial system in Zamfara is worrisome and call for the executive arm need to have a rethink and ensure the autonomy of the judicial arm for speedy reform of the system.
Galadi also lamented that, the 10 million naira each allocated to the High Court and Shariah Courts for Zamfara State is insufficient hence there is need to have additional allocation to strengthen the financial capacity of the courts.
