Katsina state government has expressed commitments to investing the sum of N20b in the provision of potable drinking water to the citizens.
Governor Umar Dikko Radda handed down the commitment in Thursday during an interface with the Federal Ministry of Water Resources on Thursday.
Governor Radda stated that Katsina state government under his watch has already invested about five billion naira in the Katsina water project.
He stated that additional N20b will be invested this year to enhance the initiative on water and sanitation (SURWASH).
He said he has already directed the state ministry of water Resources to fully cooperate with the officials of the World Bank in order for its water initiative to succeed.
The Governor said because his administration has accorded priority to water and health projects, he has done a wonderful job to enhancing the sources of water in Katsina as well as rehabilitating about (102) health care facilities that are operating 24hrs.
