Humanitarian team of Medicine San frontiers working in Shinkafi local government area of Zamfara State has lost one of their staff Nurse Hassan Sarkin Dogaran Gummi to an armed bandits attack along Shinkafi-Kaura Namoda road on Saturday.
An undisclosed source who spoke to this medium said, the medical staff was returning to Shinkafi MSF station when their vehicle was ambushed, and he was eventually killed by a gun-shot.
His relations have already arrived at Federal Medical Center Gusau awaiting the arrival of his dead body for burial.
The source said, since when the state government announced the decision to shut down telecommunication network early last month, Shinkafi-Kaura Namoda road has become a dead zone with multiple number of road ambushes becoming increasingly alarming.
Before the restoration of GSM network in Gusau on friday, Dr. Shuaibu Sarkin Shanun Shinkafi had informed BBC Hausa service that over (8) communities in Shinkafi had become under constant armed bandits attack with over (400) people abducted by the bandits within the last one month.
