The Director General Press Affairs to Governor Bello Matawalle Malam Yusuf Idris has declared that, his principal Governor Bello Matawalle went indoor for (48) hours after the news of the abduction of the Emir of Bungudu Alh Hassan Attahiru was broke to him.
The Governor’s media aide who made the declaration during a thunder blowers TV show “Tiryan-Tiryan on Sunday said, the Governor was shocked and sympathetic over the tragedy that befalls the emir and is also taking appropriate steps to secure his unconditional release from his abductors.
He said, for the past two years since he started working with Bello Matawalle he has never seen a day when Governor Bello Matawalle become so upset than when he was informed that Sarkin Fulanin Bungudu Hassan Attahiru was abducted.
He explained that though the emir was kidnapped within Kaduna axis of the country, the state government is making concerted effort together with the security agencies to secure his unconditional release.
On the allegation by one of the viewers of the Thunder Blowers live programme “Tiryan-Tiryan” Jamilu Umar Bungudu that the state government has neither sent delegations for condolence nor assisted the family of the Emir, Yusuf Idris said when the Emir is released people would hear the effort of the state government from the monarch himself.
He said the best wishes of the Governor and indeed the good people of Zamfara is to secure the release of the emir without any harm, assuring that effort is on top gear to achieving that.
