ZMSG HAS MORE THAN ENOUGH FOOD STUFFS TO DISTRIBUTE TO ZAMFARA PEOPLE
One of the media aides of the Governor of Zamfara State Malam Yusuf Idris said, contrary to the speculations going around the social media, the state government has more than enough foodstuff provided for distribution to the poor people as part of the effort to alleviate their suffering.
Idris who spoke during a TV show programme of Thunder blowers “Tiryan-Tiryan on Sunday said, as soon as the Aminu Jaji led committee concluded the needed arrangements the foodstuff would be pull out from the stock for distribution to the deserving people.
It could be recall that, early last week, Governor Bello Matawalle has set up a committee saddled with the mandate of ensuring the distribution of food items and other relief materials to the poor people.
He said effort has been renewed to ensure that the exercise has kicked started in earnest.
But some people have been going around with the rumors that the government had only set up a committee but does not procure the foodstuff which is to be distributed to the people.
He assured that all those that are supposed to be assisted by the committee would be given the deserving attention soonest.
