The Minister for Humanitarian Affairs Hajiya Sadiya Umar has announced the indefinite postponment of the flagg off oof conditional cash transfer for reason of insecurity.

In a statement copied from official Facebook of the Ministry signed by the Deputy Director Information Rhoda Ishaku Iliya
said “the flag off of Geep loans, fertilizer distribution and handing over of COVID-19 palliatives all scheduled for the weekend in Zamfara have been suspended till further notice” .

The Ministry said new date will be fixed for the event and would be communicated in due course
It could be recalled that, last night conflicting views kept trending the social media that, Zamfara state government has allegedly disrupted the Flagg of ceremony of the humanitarian affairs ministry for what many of them termed as “purely political”.

But according to an inside inquiry made by the Thunder Blowers, the minister is alleged to have attempted to politicised the programme as some sources confided to this medium that, her political supporters had already assembled at Bungudu local government with banners and music bans in preparation for the flgg off.
It was also alleged that, the Humanitarian Affairs Ministry has not given the state government adequate notice and briefing on what the content of the programme to be Flagg of the by the minister looks like.
Another source said, the programme was suspended for reasons of avoiding clash of interest between supporters of the ruling PDP and that of the opposition APC as APC supporters were allegedly seen with a banners carrying the pictures of the President, the Minister and former Governor Abdulazeez Yari.
Our insider also told this medium that, the signs of all is not well begins to show when one of her media aids called to inform the press men in waiting at the earlier designated venue in Bungudu that, the programme is going to hold inside the government House not Bungudu as earlier scheduled.
After receiving the message, the news men heads to the government House directly to catch of with the minister and her team and on arrival they were kept waiting for the minister for over an hour.
But even while at the venue there were some indicators which shows that, all is not well as no signs of activities were visibly seen to show that something like ministerial engagement is holding at the Government House.
Affetr an hour of waiting, the minister pulls out of the government lodge and heads straight to her helicopter jet where she was jetted out of Zamfara for Abuja without saying a word to the journalist in the waiting.
Non of her aids was also willing to talk to the press as they joined her to return back to Abuja instantly.
