Concern educationist and civil society advocates Samaila Mudi Tsafe and Bachiri Sarkin Fulani have raised concern on the continued closer of schools in Zamfara for over five months.

They both spoke during a special programme of Thunder Blowers Tirka-Tirka held on Saturday.

Samaila Mudi Tsafe particularly noted that, the state government need to take note of the fact that, the national policy on education envisaged that, pupils shall be trained on their basic syllabus for at least (39) weeks or at maximum (42) weeks out (52) weeks within a calendar year.

He noted that if Zamfara pupils would be shut out of schools for close to five months their performance would surely be affected because they have lost it all and their counterparts from the other states may be per ahead of them.

As for Bachiri Fulani, he noted that the continued closer of schools in Zmafara may likely expose the pupils to embarking on many social and immoral behaviours that may be as a result of seating at home doing nothing.

He cited reference with the recent scenario where his child was abducted by his peers and requested for a payment of (1,500) as ransom noting that government need to act very past before social immorality befalls many children of .

As for the Zamfara state coordinator of the National Human Right Commission Abdullahi Buba he reminded the state government that, educating a child is a right fundamental one did not privilege and that both the constitution of Nigeria, the AU Charter and United Nation Convention has placed the right to education of a citizen as a fundamental one.

They both called on the state government to borrow a lesson from the neighboring states of Katsina, Sokoto or even Borno or Yobe on how to go about implementing the policy of education in emergency (EIE) so that Zamfara pupils cannot be left behind.
