Counsel to one of the plaintiffs in respect of the second judgement delivered by Zamfara Federal High Court in respect of the PDP gubernatorial primaries, Barr. Ibrahim Ali said they are yet received any notice of appeal against the second judgement.
Barr. Ali who spoke exclusively to the Managing Editor of this medium explained that up to this moment neither himself nor any of his clients Engr. Ibrahim Shehu and Hafiz Nahuche had received “ Motion of notice of stay of Execution” from the Court of Appeal, Sokoto.
As at Wednesday (Yesterday) he confirmed the same that they are yet to receive any processes in respect of the notice of appeal or stay of execution as widely broadcasted on social media.
It could be recalled that yesterday immediately after the Sokoto Court of Appeal judgement, the supporters of the PDP gubernatorial candidate took to social media platforms and shared widely a one page “NOTICE OF MOTION OF STAY OF EXECUTION” filed by the PDP gubernatorial candidate dated yesterday the 23rd of November 2022.
A majority of the supporters misrepresented “notice of motion” filed for “an order of stay of execution”.
Parties in the suit are patiently awaiting the notice to be served on them officially.
