AHMED RAJI SAN WRITES INEC OVER DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED BY DAUDA LAWAL

An external solicitor to the APC Ahmed RAJI SAN has written a letter to the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC demanding for the release of certified true copy CTC of INEC form CF 001 submitted by Dr. Dauda Lawal the PDP gubernatorial candidate for Zamfara.

Form CF 001 is the INEC form which clearly demanded in RED to show necessity that all academic certificates MUST be attached by candidate vying for an elective position.

Raji, has written a letter dated 21st November 2022 addressed to the INEC Secretary Abuja demanding for the release of the certified true copy of the form submitted by Dauda Lawal.

The letter reads “we are the solicitors to the All Progressive Congress (APC) on whose instructions we write to you”.

It further reads “we humbly apply for the Certified True Copies of form CF001, submitted by Dauda Lawal, the person whose name was earlier submitted as the Zamfara State gubernatorial candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the forthcoming 2023 General Elections”.

It could be recalled that, two separate suits were filed at the Federal High Court, Gusau challenging the inconsistency in the documents submitted to the INEC by the PDP gubernatorial candidate in Zamfara.

The Court of Appeal on Wednesday nullified the PDP primary election, which produces Dr. Dauda Lawal as the PDP gubernatorial candidate for Zamfara.

The judgement came not more than two weeks after the Federal High Court sitting in Gusau barred PDP from filling a governorship candidate for the 2023 polls due to reasons of non-compliance with the provisions of section 82(1) of the electoral act 2022 as amended.

ZAMFARA POLICE RESCUE (1) OLD BABY & (6) WOMEN FROM ABDUCTORS

Zamfara state police command has announced the rescue of six women and one year old boy who were kidnapped at Kadamutsa village in Zurmi local government area of the state.

According to the police command Public Relations  Officer in Zamfara SP Shehu Muhammad, the rescue was successful after the police operatives in collaboration with the local vigilante stormed the suspected location where the abductees were hosted.

“Police operatives mobilized to the location where a search and rescue operation was conducted  along Zurmi – Jibiya axis, leading to the unconditional rescue of all the victims  unhurt”.

Shehu said the victims were debriefed and handed over to their relations after they were medically examined

The Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf while commending the Police operatives and vigilante for the successful rescue operation, congratulates the victims for regaining their freedom, and reiterates the determination of the police command in riding the state of criminal activities and apprehend criminal elements committing heinous crimes across the state.

ZMSG DELEGATION VISITS STATE UNIVERSITY & ABDU GUSAU POLYTECHNIC

Zamfara State Head of Service Kabiru Muhammad Gayari has led a high-powered state government delegation for an inspection visit to the Zamfara State University Talatar Mafara as well as Abdu Gusau Talatar Mafara.

The visit was informed by the passion the state government has to assess the existing conditions of the tertiary institutions in the state and identified areas that require urgent government intervention.

At the state university, the Registrar toured the delegation round the hostel edifice, administration block and lecture theaters at the temporary site of the institution.

He also took the delegation to assess the 2.5 kilometer green wall plantation initiated by the University.

The delegation also inspected the completed building of geology department, as well as the ICT building and University Clinic that are at the 90% level of completion.

The Registrar used the opportunity of the visit to appeal to the state government to hasten the deployment of academic and non-academic staff recently employed so that academic activities could continue uninterrupted.

At the Abdu Gusau Polytechnic, the delegation inspected the infrastructural facilities including newly constructed administration block, lecture theaters and hostel accommodations.

The Head of Service commended the management of the two institutions for their hospitality and assured them of the commitment of the Matawalle administration in ensuring that academic activities are strengthened in their respective institutions.

He specifically told the management of the state University that, the Governor has already directed his office to liaise with the Ministry for Higher Education and other stakeholders to validate the recent recruitment exercise made so that staff that are cleared can move to continue with their work.

He also applauded the staff and students of Abdu Gusau Polytechnic for the massive turn-out for academic activities and encourage the management to enhance the working environment.

In the delegation there are Permanent Secretaries from the office of the Head of Service, Science and Technical Education, Land and Survey, Security and Home Affairs, Rural Development, Executive Secretary Quranic Schools as well as some Directors in the office of the Head of Service.

SEN. BINANI EXTEND HANDS OF POLITICAL FELLOWSHIP TO RIBADU

The APC governorship candidate for Adamawa Send Aisha Binani has described her victory at the Court of Appeal on Thursday as victory for Democracy.

Binani in a statement personally signed by her, she has dedicated the victory to the God almighty.

She also commended her supporters who sustained resilience after the October 14th judgement which quashed her victory as the APC gubernatorial candidate.

“Let me assure you that my commitment to our party, the APC remains unshakable. The party stood firmly on the same page with me during the trial at the Court of Appeal”.

“I know how much the people of Adamawa, men and women, young and old of different faiths in an unprecedented manner stood by me. Indeed, I am humbled by the solidarity of women and many women groups across the entire Country. This puts a huge burden on me to deliver, and I am prepared for it”.

“At this point, I very sincerely extend a hand of fellowship to my elder brother, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and all those who genuinely felt aggrieved over the past events. They exercised their democratic rights as individuals to seek redress within the confines of the Law”.

“But today the courts have spoken, our party now has a genuine candidate. Let us rally round and deliver our party for the benefit of Adamawa people. I am willing and ready to work with all for our party”.
