The National Chairman of the people’s Democratic Party PDP Prince Uche Seconds has described Governor Bello Muhammed Matawallen Maradun as one of the Best Governor the party has ever produced in the country since returned to civil rule in 1999.
Chief Uche Secondus who announced this when he led other members of the National Working Committee of the PDP on a courtesy visit to Governor Bello Matawalle said, the Governor has since inception instituted good governance, brought political stability amongst Zamfara people and manage the insecurity that have ravaged the state for years.
In a statement by the Governor’s Press Secretary Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji said, “the party is proud of Matawalle for his passion and desire toward uplifting the living standard of Zamfara people and also ensure political unity amongst state citizens across the party lines”.
He assured the Governor of the party’s continued support and encouragement for his administration to excel.
He further said, the party will continue to support the administration of Matawalle since his peace initiative is yielding positive result especially considering the relative peace restored amongst people of Zamfara State.
He used the opportunity to condole the Government and people of Zamfara state over the murder of eight people who were aids to the Emir of Kaura Namoda along Zaria-Funtua road last week as well as many citizens who lost their lives as a result of armed bandits activities in the state.
Responding, Governor Bello Muhammed Matawallen Maradun expressed appreciation to the National working committee of PDP for the visit which he described as a morale boost noting that he will continue to work harder and make PDP proud at the long run.
Governor Bello Matawalle explained that no amount of pressure or discouragement can deter him from doing everything humanly possible to salvage the people of the state from the menace of Banditry, kidnappings and other acts of criminalities.
The Governor noted with dismay that after sleepless nights and working hard to ensure the rescue of Kankara school children, the spokesman of the APC accused him of aiding banditry both in his state and other states across the north-west geo-political zone.
He said the peace accord he initiated was to ensure that peace has returned to the state so that people of the state can sleep with their eyes closed.
While thanking them for the visit, the Governor said he will invite them for a visit to Zamfara state in order to see for themselves what his administration is doing in the area of good Governance and security.
The visit was attended by all members of the National working committee of the party, some members of the state executive council, former minister of finance and Honorary Adviser to the Governor Ambassador Bashir Yuguda Gusau amongst other senior government officials
