It has come to our attention that certain individuals, whom we refer to as political vandals, are calling for a state of emergency in Zamfara State. We find these calls not only misguided but also reflective of unpatriotic sentiments that undermine the progress our state has made under the leadership of Dr. Dauda Lawal Gamjin Gusau.
These individuals, driven by self-interest and a history of misguidance, fail to recognize the significant strides our administration has achieved. Dr. Dauda Lawal is a governor who embodies patriotism and integrity, and his economic expertise is crucial in managing the resources of our state. Unlike those who engage in corruption and misappropriation, Dr. Lawal is committed to transparency and accountability.
Under his leadership, we have witnessed a decline in banditry and a renewed focus on infrastructural development that benefits all citizens, not just a select few. His administration has prioritized agriculture, commerce, and human capital development, ensuring that the welfare of civil servants and retirees is recognized and addressed. For the first time in over a decade, all state and local government retirees have received their benefits, a testament to our commitment to the people of Zamfara.
We urge the citizens of Zamfara to stand firm in their support for Dr. Dauda Lawal and to reject the divisive rhetoric of those who seek to destabilize our progress. We call upon Mr. President to recognize the efforts of our people’s governor and to support his initiatives that align with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Together, let us continue to build a Zamfara that is prosperous, united, and resilient against the challenges we face.
