The former Senator for Zamfara Central Kabiru Garba Marafa has accepted the outcome of the 2023 Senatorial race where the PDP candidate Mr. Ikira Aliyu Bilbis was declared as winner of the poll.
Sen. Marafa in a statewide broadcast thanked the people of Zamfara central for the opportunity accorded him to representing them since 2011 and wished them well.
He also thanked all stakeholders and his supporters for standing firm with him and for giving him the courage to participate in the race, saying he has learned a lot in the new political dimension of the state.
He specifically thanked Governor Bello Matawalle for standing firm to ensure that he contested the position for the third time, and also thanked the party for its endless support to his senatorial candidature.
Senator Marafa used the opportunity to thank the President-elect Mr. Bola Ahmad Tinubu and the Presidential Campaign Council for given him the opportunity to lead the Tinubu campaign council in Zamfara saying the victory recorded by the APC during the Presidential campaign in Zamfara is enough to demonstrate the power of the APC in Zamfara.
He promised that he will personally not go to the court to challenge the outcome of the poll, hence that action will distract the senator elect from doing his job as the senator which he said will eventually affect the senatorial zone.
