The Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has pledged to cater for a total of (20,000) orphans to be selected across the forteen local government areas of the state.
One of the media aides to the Senator, Hamdan Alhazzai stated this in a statement shared with newsmen on Sunday.
He said the Senator made the pledge shortly after he had sallah lunch with (500) selected orphans in his country home of Talatar Mafara on the Sallah day.
Hamdan stated that the programme includes their feeding and scholarship expenses, which according to him will take those to be saddle with the responsibility of the selection nine months to complete the selection exercise.
According to the statement, the Senator was influenced by the clarion call made by the prophet for the wealthy individuals to cater for the welfare and wellbeing of the orphans at all time.
