An APC chieftain in Zamfara Sani Abdullahi Wamban Shinkafi has announced the arrest and recovery of over (5000) AK-47 live ammunition that were smuggled from Niger Republic to Zamfara forest.
Wamban Shinkafi who spoke during an exclusive interview with Thunder Blowers in Gusau on Sunday said, the ammunition are to be delivered to Dumburum and Fakai forests before security agencies were able to detect them.
He said the suspects were handed down to the Governor of Maradi for interrogation, noting that without the effort of Governor Matawalle the ammunition would have been used in killing innocent lives of Zamfara state.
He condemned the attitude of some politicians who stay outside Zamfara state to continue to instigate violent oppositions against the effort of the state government, especially in ending in-security in the state.
