The executive secretary of Zamfara Contributory Pension Commission Mansur Mustapha Kaura has declared that as at October 2021 there are (20) twenty Permanent Secretaries awaiting their retirement benefits in Zamfara state.
Kaura said out of these twenty Permanent Secretaries, five retired in the recent year 2021.
Mansur Mustapha, who made the declaration when he, featured in Thunder Blowers TV show Tirka-Tirka said despite the enormous financial challenges faced by the state, the Governor is doing his best to ensure the release of the agreed (N100) million naira monthly for the payment of gratuity to the state retirees who are yet to get their benefit paid.
He noted that though there was a three-month break in the release of the (100) million naira monthly due to some financial difficulties faced by the state, he assured that the continued payment has resumed from last month.
He assured that, the commission, together with the office of the head of service are making concerted effort to support the government in getting alternative means of getting the majority of the retirees awaiting their benefits get settled.
He commended the new head of service for his passion to making the state pensioners have some relief and assured them that soonest they would overcome their financial challenges
