One of the APC stakeholders in Zamfara Sani Abdullahi Wamban Shinkafi has inaugurated his political movement within the Zamfara APC in Gusau on Wednesday.
The inauguration ceremony came at a time when many political observers believed APC Zamfara needed more peace to be able to bridge its classical divisions and became one united political entity to confront the ruling PDP government led by Governor Dauda Lawal in the state.
In his remark during the inauguration ceremony, Wambai insisted that himself, Sen. Sahabi Alh Yau, and Sen. Kabiru Garba Marafa had never betrayed the APC in the 2023 elections but insisted that they were betrayed in returned.
But he said they have surrendered everything to the will of Allah but argued that if the same act of betrayal was exhibited in 2027, there may bound to have more crises than one can anticipate.
He also insisted that when the time came in 2027, his supporters will come out and contest for various positions, calling on those that have the availability of funds to purchase nomination forms and contest while assuring those who do not have to come to him as he will buy for all those interested.
He said his political hope is to take over from Governor Dauda in 2027 and complete the four years tenure of former Governor Mahmuda Shinkafi while Governor Dauda may return to complete his second term tenure in office.
He called on the new leadership inaugurated to identify all those that supported the APGA movement in the past and bring them on board so that the movement can be strengthened.
He also called on the retired civil servants who were not paid pension and gratuity by the former administration of Matawalle and those with the pain that the former government of Matawalle had failed to pay for WAEC and NECO to brace up and join his political train as it is out for rescue mission.
He lamented that APC supporters in Zamfara are always not doing what is supposed to be done in the interest of the progress of the party, rather in their own selfish interest.
