Yandoto Emirate council has denied the story by an online news media that it is to confer the title of Sarkin Fulani of Yandoto to Ado Alieru one of the bandit’s leader.
According to the clarification offered by the Wakilin Masarautar Yandoto Daji Emirate Magaji Lawali, the emirate had at no point plan now or in the future to confer any title to any bandit leader.
He therefore urged the public to disregard the fake news, which he described as something sponsored by some enemies of the Emirate.
“I would like to use this medium to inform the public that, Yandoto Emirate has drawn a battle line with any criminal including bandits, therefore the fake news in circulation on the conferment of chieftaincy title to Ado Alieru as clear handiwork of the genuine enemies of the Emirate council of Yandoto”.
“The emir had just received his appointment letter for the said assignment, but had never informed anybody of his plans to confer chieftaincy title to anybody”.
