Zamfara State Commissioner for Finance Rabiu Garba has accused the immediate past administration of Governor Yari of looting the sum of 4.7 billion naira cash from the account of the State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

The Commissioner raised the allegation during a Radio Nigeria Pride FM programme on Sunday.

He said the sum of 17 billion naira was paid to Zamfara by the Federal Government on the  30th April 2019, 29 days before the handing over as part of the refund of the federal roads constructed by the immediate past government of Yari.

According to the Commissioner, the sum of 4.7 billion out of the 17 billion naira paid to the state government was sent to the account of Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs and based on the findings by the ministry of finance it was discovered that, the whole money was withdrawn cash without any evidence of work done.

“The whole money was withdrawn cash without any evidence to show that a particular work was done” the commissioner alleged.
