ZAMFARA APC WARD CONGRESS, GOV. BELLO MATAWALLE MEET STAKEHOLDERS, RE-AFFIRMS UNITY OF THE PARTY.

Governor Bello Matawalle has reaffirmed that APC would remain one and united party, despite effort by some members to cause disharmony within the party.

Matawalle made the statement during APC stakeholders meeting held at the state government house, Gusau on Saturday.

Represented by the Speaker of State House of Assembly Nasiru Magarya, Matawalle urged members of the party to respect the party leadership hierarchy in order to sustained unity and togetherness among members.

He noted that as the rules provided, since the President is the number one leader of the party, Governors in their respective states are equally the party leaders.

He noted with passion, the effort of the national working committee of the party led by Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe for facilitating the growth of the party leading to registration of over one million members in the state during the last registration exercise.

According to the statement by the Governor’s media aid Malam Yusuf Idris Gusau said, the Governor also commended all party stakeholders for contributing in one way or the other to the development of the party in the state and also the committee sent by the national headquarters of the party for registering over one million members in the just concluded membership registration exercise.

Earlier, leader of the team from the APC National Secretariat, Alhaji Kabiru Masari said they were sent by the national headquarters of the party to conduct the congress according to the dictate of the law.

He said, all existing guidelines of the party will be followed regarding those who go for consensus and those who opted for election.

On his part, the party’s Caretaker Committee Chairman in the state, Sen. Hassan Mohammed Nasiha urged members to participate in the exercise with high sense of decorum and elect leaders of their choice.

Nasiha warned those planning to sabotage the exercise to desist from such action or face the appropriate sanction as the rules of the party provided.

SEN. YARI DONATES (13) TRUCKS OF MAIZE TO PEOPLE OF TALATAR MAFARA

Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West, Hon. Dr. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar (Shattiman Zamfara) has secured (13) trucks of Maize containing (3900) bags for distribution to his immediate community of Talatar Mafara.

The distribution is to be handled by the (11) man committee headed by Malam Hamza Abubakar.

A total of 68 communities consisting of 21,075 households will benefit with a total of 3900 bags of Maize.

According the chairman, the beneficiaries cut across religious devices as instructed by the donor Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar.

According to the committee Chairman, former Governor Yari has considered the social condition of the people emanating from the removal of fuel subsidy by the current administration.

He assured that, the committee will be just and fair in the discharge of their duties.

He called on people to give them maximum support and cooperation in the discharged of their duty in order to achieve the desire success.

(31) PEOPLE DIES, (274) SUSTAIN INJURIES IN ADAMAWA ROAD CRASHES.

The Federal Road Safety Corp Adamawa state command has revealed that a total of (31) people died as a result of various road crashes within the state.

The statistics also showed that, a total of (274) people also sustained various degree of injuries as a result of the road crashes.

The Adamawa sector command also recorded (126) various road crashes involving (548) passengers within the period under review.

The statistics covered a period of January to July 2023.

The sector commandant of the state, Mr. Yelwa Dio when he interacted with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

He attributed the road crashes to over-loading, over speeding and making telephone calls while driving.
