Zamfara State Police Commissioner Mr Abutu Yaro said the command in collaboration with other sister security agencies have renewed security strategies aimed at ensuring that Zamfara communities are adequately protected.
The CP who declared this when he accompanied the State Governor for a sympathy visit to some recently invaded communities in Maru, Maradun and Kaura Namoda called on all the aggrieved parties in the ongoing social conflict to embrace the peace effort of the present administration with a view to ensuring lasting peace in the state.
In a statement by the police spokesperson SP Shehu Muhammad said, the CP called on the communities to support and cooperate with the security personnel deployed to their areas, so that they can succeed in their bid to fishing away notorious elements whose interest is to continue to cause crises in the state.
He also assured them that all security personnel deployed to the flash point areas in the state will conduct their operations professionally and in accordance with the standard best practice of rules of engagement.
He thanked the Governor for providing the logistic support to the Police and other security agencies in the state, and pledged to continue to work harder to ensure that peace has been restored in the state.
