Zamfara state Deputy Governor Sen. Hassan Muhammad Nasiha has chaired the inaugural meeting of the committee set up for the distribution of Ramadan welfare package.
The meeting took place at the state Government House Gusau, Zamfara state on Tuesday.
Sen. Nasiha urged committee members to show dedication and commitment toward making sure that the assignment is delivered to the expectations.
He said the exercise has become an annual routine since the inception of the government of Bello Matawalle.
He further explained that, this year’s exercise is planned in such a way that the feeding programme will reach up to the polling unit level and the idea is to ensure that it has touch all categories of the state citizens.
He further said the monitoring and supervision subcommittee would be going round to find out the level of implementation of the distributions as approved by the Governor.
State Deputy Governor Sen. Hassan Nasiha is to chair the state steering committee, while permanent secretary of government house Abubakar Jafar Maradun is to serve as the Secretary.
The committee has (32) members including politicians, commissioners and members of the state executive council and other important personalities.
