Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the constitution of the 2024 Amirul Hajj Committee.
The committee is to be chaired by the State Deputy Governor Mal. Mani Malam Mumuni while Dr. Lawal Hussaini Permanent Secretary Cabinet Affairs is to serve as Secretary.
Other members of the committee include Emir of Maradun Garba Muhammad Tambari who is to serve as the Deputy Chairman, Malam Ibrahim Abubakar, While Mal. Habibu Sheikh Balarabe, Executive Secretary, Zakkat Board—Assistant Secretary.
The Amirul Hajj committee also has Mal. Ibrahim Abubakar, Hadiza Mohammed Gummi, Aisha Ibrahim and Mal. Bello Isah Almufty, Special Adviser to the Governor on Religious Matters as members.
Governor Dauda Lawal expects the committee to provide effective leadership and coordination of the activities of other government officials to ensure the success of the 2024 Hajj exercise.
According to Senior Special Assistant (Media) Suleiman Ahmad Tudu the delegation is to commence operations with immediate effect.
