A former federal lawmaker in Zamfara Abdulmalik Zubairu Zannan Bungudu has announced his formal defection to the People’s Democratic Party PDP.
This decision was announced by one of his political aides, Jamilu Lawal Bungudu on Monday in an exclusive telephone conversation with the Managing Editor of this medium.
He said his principal has dumped the APC for the PDP to enable him pursue his aspiration of contesting for the post of the member federal House of Representatives for Maru and Bungudu constituency.
He served same constituency under the APC between 2015-2019,, and he was re-elected for that same post in 2019 before the Supreme Court of Nigeria got the elections of all APC candidates in Zamfara aborted as a result of internal crises of the party.
According to Jamilu Umar Bungudu, the former federal lawmaker will get registered in the PDP today (Monday) at his Bungudu ward at a time to be announced.
