Member representing Gusau and Tsafe at the Federal House of Representatives Kabiru Amadu has embarked on provision of solar boreholes for most of the densely populated areas within his federal constituency.
The solar boreholes which are connected to 40,000 water storage tanks are expected to provide portable drinking water to minimum of 3000 households and it was part of the campaign promises made by the lawmaker during the 2019 general elections.
The project is also targeted at all the 22 wards that made up of Gusau-Tsafe federal constituency.
Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle had performed the comilmissioning of one of the solar boreholes at Anguwar Takachame in Mayana ward of Gusau local government where he commended the foresight of the lawmaker for bringing a giant developmental project to his people and urged him and his counterparts to do more in the overall interest of the people of the state.
The lawmaker on the other hand said he was passionate to see the day when one of his giant projects would be commissioned by the Governor and promised to complete the remaining boreholes within the shortest period of time.
The beneficiaries on their part, lauded the courage of the lawmaker for fulfilling his promises and promised to make judicious use of the project for the purpose it was meant for.
They also used the opportunity to present an award of honour to the lawmaker as part of recognition of his giant effort for the development of his people.
