The heavy downpour on Thursday has caused a deverstating flood in Kaura Namoda local government area of Zamfara State which led to the collapse of dozens of houses and business structures.
One of the eye witness who confided with this news medium said, the heavy flow of water from river Gagare has affected several structures including houses, business places and valuable properties worth millions of naira were washed away by the heavy water flowing.
It was learned that, despite the heavy flow of water by the River Gagare, lack of functional drainages and water way system in some parts of the town had also contributed to the disaster.
The flooding in Kaura occured barely less than a week after that of Moriki which claimed hundreds of housing structures and wash away properties worth millions of naira.
Again three weeks back another flooding occurred in Zugu community in Bukkuyum local government area of Zamfara State where housing structures were also washed away by the flood.
