Zamfara State Police Command has declared that, it has foiled a planned kidnapping of innocent people by some suspected armed bandits who were in large number along the outskirts of Shinkafi Local Government area of Zamfara State on Saturday
In a statement by Zamfara State Police Command Public Relations Officer SP Shehu Muhammad said, at the early hours of today Zamfara State Police Command received a distress call that confirming that, bandits in their large number assembled at the outskirts of Shinkafi town with a criminal intention of kidnapping innocent people plying the area.
SP Shehu further said, combine team of PMF/CTU attached to the “Operation Puff Adder” responded quickly and foiled the attack. Similarly,
Police Spoke Person further said, one Samaila Langa, a 30-year-Old, who was kidnapped by the bandits during the incident was successfully rescued by the combined effort of the Police and leaders of the repentant bandits.
SP Shehu said the victim has been reunited with his family after being debriefed.
He further said normally has been restored with improved confidence building patrols in Shinkafi and its environs.
