Zamfara State Police command had confirmed the killing of a notorious armed bandit leader by name Dan Isuhu Nudale and some large number of his followers
The command’s spokesperson, DSP Yazeed Abubakar who stated this via a statement explained that the operation that lead to the murder Dan Isuhu and large chunk of his followers succeeded after a combined security operation comprising Police Mobile Force (PMF), Counterterrorism Units (CTU) operatives, community protection guards and local hunters confronted the bandit team.
Yazeed said, unfortunately the operation also resulted in the killing of one mobile police officer, four operatives of the CPG and two hunters.
The police spokesman further stated that the joint security operations against Dan-Isuhu succeeded after intelligence was shared with the security agencies about the possibility of the bandit leader’s plan to invade Keta town.
Bandit leader Dan Isuhu according to the statement, has been the one terrorizing Tsafe and its environs.
The Zamfara State Police Command reassures the good people of the state of its total commitment to restoring peace and urges citizens to report any suspicious behavior to the security agencies for prompt action.
