In what appeared to be a war of tongue between the APC faction led by Tukur Danfulani and that of Jaji faction led by Isiyaka Ajiya Anka had been locked into a war of tongue over Ramadan welfare package issued to the party supporters.
The crises started when the Publicity Secretary of the APC led by Tukur Umar Danfulani issued a communique applauding efforts of some key leaders of the party for their support on the party members.
The communique by Mr Idris Gusau specifically identified the contribution of Sen. Abdulaziz Yari for donating 498 trucks of assorted food items and also Minister Bello Matawalle for cash donation to party members worth over N500M.
The party commends and appreciates former governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar for his financial and other support including grains and clothing materials to party members especially during this Ramadan fast where hundreds of thousands of APC members drawn from the 14 local government areas of the state including an invitation to hundreds of others to break the Ramadan fast on different days at his Talata Mafara residence. This comprised provision of 496 truck loads of assorted food items with 280,000 persons drawn from each of the 14 LGAs benefiting, Ramadan breakfast for 130 persons each day from each of the LGAs with each team going home with N100,000 wax wrappers and 10 yards of shadda to the visitors”.
“Additionally, Sen. Yari distributed 32 truck loads of assorted food items to the party executives, elders and other critical stakeholders”.
Mr. Idris in the communique also stated that “the party strongly commends His Excellency, for governor and Hon Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Mohammed Matawalle MON for distributing half a billion naira cash also to many party members drawn from the 14 local government areas including former commissioners, former Special Advisers and former local government sole administrators among others totalling 200 categorized between recipients of N100,000, N250,000, N500,000, N1million and above”.
“The party also acknowledged and commends Hon Mukhtar Shehu Idris (Kogunan Gusau) for donating over 1,000 bags of sugar and rice to beneficiaries cutting across the 14 local government areas”.
“Equally worthy of commendation and appreciation is the Zannan Bungudu and member representing Maru/Bungudu in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdulmalik Zubairu who positively touched the lives of an unquantifiable number of party members in different ways during the Ramadan fast”.
“The party showed special appreciation and prayers to His Excellency Malam Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad, His Excellency Mukhtar Ahmad Anka, His Excellency Hassan Muhammad Nasiha and His Excellency Bashir Yuguda Gusau for their unflinchingly support and constant touch with the party leadership and members ensuring its strength and growth”.
“While the party encourages all these leaders to keep up with the good work, praying Allah to continue giving them halal ways to help others, it called on other well to do individuals and groups in the society to emulate these gestures for continued growth, unity and peace of the party and its members”.
“The party also recognized the various contributions and donations of many other members that are too many to be mentioned individually but commended their efforts and prayed Allah to continue to help them”.
But in a swift reaction to the communique the the Organizing Secretaty of the APC Jaji faction Bashir Ahmed Gusau, the group said “a right – thinking person will see the communique as no more than the usual “political folktales” which Tukur Danfulani led APC used to tell the public that cares to answer.
The statement added that, It is unfortunate that up to this moment these sets of hopeless politicians calling themselves APC leaders have failed or refused to learn the bitter lessons from the shameful defeat of the 2023 Governorship election in Zamfara state and begin to mend differences with those sidelined in the interest of the success of the party in the future elections.

It is unfortunate that these shameless party leaders led by Tukur Danfulani had chosen to tore the role of continually dividing the party in between those they are extorting money for their personal earnings and people like His Excellency Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji who have proved their capacities of winning election at all times.
“The types of reactions coming from the public space since when they release to their social media handlers the concocted figure of assorted food items and money worth over N500M is enough for them to understand that people of Zamfara had since shutdown their political chapters and will always humiliate them if they do not take the path of truth and justice”.
“Similarly, We want to reiterates that the statement made in the shameful communique that the former commissioners, Special Advisers, Local Government Council Chairmen or Sole Administrators and other political appointees are being given Ramadan package by Former Governor Matawalle, and being paid ranging from 100,000 and above is no more than a fiction, as majority of these appointees had testified that they were never for once received any Ramadan package From Matawalle or given any amount of money as claimed by Yusuf Idris”.
“Even in the recent fictious N500M alleged to have been donated by the minister (Matawalle) majority of these political appoointees including former Commissioners and Special Advisers have denied given
a dime out of the money in question”
“Identifying their political godfathers in their aborted communiqué and pass a vote of solidarity for what they have allegedly done to APC supporters in Zamfara State is a clear indicator of their lack of readiness to tower the path to peace and that since they have isolated dignified political figures like Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji, Sen. Kabir Garba Marafa, and rest despite their open support to the party supporters they should be left with their conscience”.
“As per Jaji political movement in Zamfara his record in terms of humanitarian interventions not only during Ramadan but all year round is non-comparable to that of any politician in Zamfara”.
“It is on record that at the beginning of this year’s Ramadan, Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji has distributed a total of (60) trucks of assorted grains to (500,000) beneficiaries across the fourteen local government areas of the state”.
“He has also conducted Ramadan Breakfast (Iftar) with over (3000) APC supporters from each of the fourteen local governments and also donated (N5,,000,000) naira cash to each local government area for their transport and take-home logistics, in addition to clothing materials”.
“His Excellency, Dr Aminu Sani Jaji has also established (41) Ramadan feeding centers across (14) local government areas where befitting meals were served to at least (3000) beneficiaries in each of the centers during the Ramadan Period.”
“Jaji also held a twin Ramadan Breakfast with a thousand numbers of APC supporters from his immediate constituency of Kaura Namoda-Birnin Magaji federal constituency and also provided financial assistance running into millions of naira to some of them who are less privilege”.
“In addition, Wife of Hon. Aminu Sani Jaji Hajiya Faiza Aminu Jaji flags off the distribution of Ramadan welfare package to (5000) women across (14) local government areas of the state where each woman benefitted from cash donation worth (N20,000) with wrappers”.
“She also gifted assorted clothing materials to about (10,000) orphans with additional (N10,000) for sewing purposes”.
“These are few out of many gestures he has extended silently to people of needs and without making public outburst by telling the whole world or by demanding for commendation from anybody”.
“In view of this development the All Progressives Congress led by Alh Isiyaka Ajiya Anka is calling on all patriotic APC supporters in Zamfara state to ignore the “political divisionist” and continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the political movement of Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji in the overall interest of the success of the APC in the future elections”
