The newly elected member of Zamfara State House of Assembly representing Bakura Constituency Ibrahim Tudu Tukur has been sworn in by the Speaker Zamfara State House of Assembly Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya before the commencement of plenary on Thursday.
The Speaker who was visibly happy during the event charged the new member to remain focus and participate actively in legislative business of the state house of assembly.
He urged him not to be distracted by the political development that characterized his election and asked him to work harder and secure more opportunities for the people of his constituency.
“Your people have made great sacrifice for you and you have a duty to work harder and bring more Democratic opportunities as a way of paying back to the people” Speaker added.
He urged the new member to follow up with the executive arms and make sure that what has been appropriated for his people are delivered to them
In his response, the member representing Bakura Ibrahim Tudu Tukur assured the house of his continued allegiance and promised to follow those that have experience to learn the business of legislation and also contribute positively to the development of the state.
He thanked the Speaker and all those that worked harder in ensuring that his election in to the state house of assembly has become actualized.
