Zamfara State government has refuted an online media story that misinformed the public that the abducted Jangebe school girls have been freed.
They specifically described the story by the punch news paper as mere imagination of the reporter of punch newspaper whom they said initiated a rumour and spread to the public.
in a statement by by the Governors Press Secretary Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji said, since when the incident occurred on Friday Governor Bello Matawalle has been intensifying effort to make sure that the girls have been safely released.
He added that as soon as the girls are recovered the governor will address the public on the true situation of things.
