Motorcycle riders in their hundreds staged a peaceful protest to challenge the alleged attempted killing of one of their members by the operatives of Zamfara State Toad Traffic Agency (ZAROTA).
They alleged that at the early hours of Thursday operatives of the agency hits one of their members almost to death for simple reason of not obtaining a daily receipt meant for the state board of Internal revenue.
They alleged that majority of them do not know the value of the daily payment they usually made through an obtain of the receipt from the state revenue board using ZAROTA as an agency.
One of the protesting motorcycle riders who spoke to the media insisted that their affected member relocated to Zamfara after being harassed by some armed bandits in his home community.
They also alleged that, their member who was almost killed has a wife and close to (20) children.
They called on the state government to as a matter of urgency caution the operatives of ZAROTA over their inhuman activities on their members before the situation gets out of hand.
They also called on the state government to ensure that justice is done to the family of their member molested by the ZAROTA operatives
Effort to reach the Commandant of the Agency to hear his response has failed as his telephone line was not connecting as at the time of filing this report.
