Members of Zamfara State House of Assembly have extended the tenure of the (14) fourteen local government council Sole Administrators by six months.
The decision to extend the tenure according to the house spokesperson Mustapha Jafar Kaura is in line with the house standing rules 2012 as amended.
Jafar said the Speaker of the house Nasiru Mu’azu Magarya read an executive request which was subjected to thorough deliberation by the members.
He said after extensive deliberation, members unanimously agreed with the request for the tenure extension.
According to Jafar, the six months extension begins from the 19th of April 2022.
